Thai Hotels Association Background (THA)
Thai Hotels Association has established in 1963 by a group of hotel’s executives and owners with the name of “Hotels Association for Tourist of Thailand”.
With the aims of:

  1. Promoting union unity and supporting each others on the matters of hotel industry and membership.
  2. Promoting tourism in Thailand with the cooperative of governmental tourism organization and international tourism agency.
  3. Promoting knowledge and coordinating between members without any connection with politics. The office located at Oriental Hotel and later in 1968 the name of the association has been changed to “Thai Hotels Association” until the present day.

The Thai Hotel Association is now located at 203-209/3 Ratchadamnern Klang Road, Borvornnivet, Pranakorn, Bangkok 10200.

The objectives of the Association shall be as follows:
4.1       To promote private enterprises relating to the hotel business and tourism industry.
4.2       To promote and foster cooperation among all members of the Association.
4.3       To support and assist members in solving problems including negotiating with outsiders for the mutual benefit of the member’s enterprises.
4.4       To foster the spirit of unity and exchange knowledge, opinions, and technics as well as information concerning hotel business and tourism industry.
4.5       To protect and promote mutual benefits.
4.6       To cooperate and coordinate with the government and private sectors, e.g. organizations, associations, companies or any person when the Association deems that such cooperation will assist or provide facilities in the fulfillment of the Association’s objectives.
4.7       To propagate and publicize Association’s activities as well as information concerning hotel business and tourism industry.
4.8       To conduct training programs and seminars in the field of the hotel business and tourism industry.
4.9       To carry on any kind of business with the aims of promoting and increasing benefits of the members.
4.10     To clarify and make proposal to government a help in solving problems and obstacles in connection with hotel business and tourism industry. 
4.11     To cooperate with the Government in promoting hotel business with regard to a good standard and in concurrence with the Government’s policy.
4.12     To make agreements or set mutual regulations for the members to follow to refrain from any practices, all for the good of the member’s business.
4.13     To settle disputes in business between fellow members, or between members and outsiders.
4.14     To arrange sales promotion, domestically and internationally.
4.15     To join in any charitable activities or make contribution to charity for public welfare and national security.
