Bangkok Airways will launch non-stop daily flights between Koh Samui and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on March 31.

Flight PG 951 will depart Koh Samui for Kuala Lumpur at 5:55 pm for a 8:25 pm arrival.  The return, PHG 952, will depart Kuala Lumpur for Koh Samui at 8:20 am landing at 9:00 am local time.

Flights will be operated using an Airbus A319 aircraft with 138 economy class seats.  Passengers will be offerred inflight meals, a baggage allowance of 20 kg and a lounge at Samui airport.

Presently, Bangkok Airways flies to more than 20 destinations both domestic and international.  From Bangkok, the airline flies to Chiang Mai, Lampang, Trat, Phuket, Samui, Luang Prabang, Siem Reap, Yangon, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Dhaka and Maldives.  From Koh Samui, Bangkok Airways flies to Pattaya, Trat, Phuket, Krabi, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Bangkok Airways, in collaboration with Tourism Authority of Thailand, Koh Samui Municipal and Tourism Association of Koh Samui, once again launch "Samui Island Marathon 2011" on September 19, 2011. The race is to complete for HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn's Cup and the total prize worth over 3 million baht.

The race will be start off on the Saturday morning, 19 September 2011. The start and finish point will be set at Nathorn Pier. The competition is divided into 4 categories; Marathon, Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon, and Mini Marathon for Samui Student.
